Lake GX238 Wide Fit Gravel Bike Shoes

The wide version offers 15mm of additional volume at the ball of the foot over the standard width last.

Upper: Fullgrain Water Resistant Premium Leather with mesh upper, Aramid and Helcor Abrasion resistant leather panels with Outlast and hook lycra heel lining. The Helcor Abrasion resistant leather is specifically designed to be extremely durable against rubbing, scrapes and scuffing. Hook lycra heel liner offers a firm grip to your foot for those walking sections.

Closure: Dual Side mounted Push/Pull BOA L5 lacing system with releasable lace guides.

Outsole: Lake Competition 100% Carbon Fiber Sole with Mountain Race X real rubber sole

The best

My 5th pair of shoes from Salt Dog Cycling and each purchase has been excellent. Proper customer service is extremely rare these days but with Salt Dog it’s always there. Thanks Richard for a perfect shoe and your advice. Lake shoes are wonderful and the only shoe I will wear after trying most others. Before Lake I thought it was the norm to be in pain wearing cycling shoes!

Fabulous Fit!

These are my first clipless shoes and after a bit of to-and-fro'ing on size choices with lots of useful help and advice from Richard I settled on the 44 wide and they're awesome! I have wide and high volume feet and these fit great. I am glad I invested the extra - I had tried some MX176 and you can really tell the difference in quality. I hadn't expected to pay this much for my first set of shoes but the investment easily pays back so thanks again to Richard for all his help!

Great service and shoes

It's so nice to have a great service and advice from a genuine bike shop. If looking for Lake or any cycle shoe where you would need advice for a good fit look no further than Richard at Salt Dog Cycling. The wide fit gravel shoe looks great and is a nice fit for my wide feet. Don't bother with the large cycle online retailers which hardly have any stock (late 2021) anyway but try the smaller retailer for personal service.
