Suitable for road bikes up to 62 cm frame size and smaller
For simplified packing the top shell can be completely removed
The bike is mounted with several straps and protected by several layers of foam
Four stable light castor wheels two freely rotatable, two fixed
Two carrying handles and two pull handles (one pull handle for pulling on two wheels)
The two case shells are interlocking at six points and pulled together with a self-tightening buckle for easy closing and fitting of the case
Lockable with a TSA padlock

I notice a lot of other boxes on the market have anti crush poles. This one doesn't. What prevents it from being crushed?

The box has a number of notches on the edge of each corner that make it almost impossible to crush. The geometry and quality of the plastic case are also superior to other bike boxes I've tried.

The bike box is really rigid as its a hard case. I have travelled twice with the box now with no issues

Could you advise is the b &w bike box 11 robust enough to protect bikes during transport.

Yes, I have used it during 5 flights now and it is sturdy box. During transport it can get scratched, so it doesn’t look as shiny anymore, but not a big deal.

Yes I have flown with my carbon road bike and it was fine. It does need to go in oversized luggage and you need to watch the weight as it's very easy to pack loads of stuff around the bike.

B&W Bike Box review

I’m new to the use of bike boxes for transportation, having not owned or used one before. I bought this one as it seemed to be good value for a semi-rigid plastic box compared to other more expensive examples. Now that I’ve used it on a trip abroad the box does seem to be very well thought out, with extra straps, chain wheel support and padding to assist with efficient packing. Being a ‘clam shell’ design without any hinges, the two halves need to be fitted together carefully, which takes a bit of practice to find the best technique. It would be useful if there were more retainers that help keep the two halves together. I did make a couple of mistakes, which were entirely my fault. The box did not fit inside the boot of my car, and the box is not rigid enough to easily strap on to a roof rack. Best to check your car and avoid any circumstance where it might be crushed by straps, unless you want to run the risk of buckling a wheel like I did.

Great value Bike Box

B&W Bike Box 2.0 is a good value bike box and Salt Dog Cycling had the best price. Its easy to assemble. I have a medium sized (54) road bike, which fit easily in the bike box, with all my cycling kit. I like the addition of packing items included with this kit. Manoeuvring the loaded bike box is easy. First trip no problems at all

Bike Box - first trip

Bought this box based on positive reviews and good price vs similar products. Just used on first trip - took my gravel bike to Cyprus. Really pleased with quality of the box very sturdy once you have mastered the slightly tricky overlap principle of each side when you close it up. As with other reviews I would say only improvement would be a couple of additional lifting straps - current setup is fine for wheeling it about the airport etc but manhandling it into the boot of a small SUV would have been helped by a few extra straps. Overall excellent value for money any very well made - very quick delivery from Salt Dog Cycling also.

Great bike box at a really good price

Salt dog were very responsive and easy to deal with. Not used the box yet as I'm off to Mallorca at the end of April. However it is well built with everything I need to safely pack and transport my Carbon Frame road bike.
